After an analysis of the professional fields which involve both art and science, I naturally turned my attention to architecture. During my studies, but before deciding on my program, I had an opportunity to complete an internship at an architecture company and this confirmed my decision to follow architecture.
At the heart of my choice is architecture’s dual disciplined nature; artistic and technical. I am both fascinated by the history of art and civilizations, as well as curious to understand the technology which surrounds me today. I am concerned about ecology and to the risks created by the direction of our society. Architecture seems to me to be a way of making contribution in this regards. Architecture is one of the rare occupations which allows one to work in a collaborative manner and to have an impact on both quality of life and the environment.
Being attuned to needs, to problems, being able to express ideas, inspiring and being able to measure the result, combing rigor and a sense of creative direction, always questioning the possibility of progress; for me architecture is a world where every decision must be measured and supported. During my 5 years of studies I discovered that more than a choice, architecture is a real vocation.
