The group in which I worked had the name "group box". It was necessary to create a coherent project within the guideline of a building which could be built exclusively by the workshops of the Isle d' Abeau.
Due to the construction constraint, the project’s main focus was on the structure however I did not want that to distract from the aesthetic quality (despite the limited resources we had available for construction).
Once we understood the material and the constraint of completing the construction by GAIA in one week, we realized that we would have to make the entire building within a single envelope.
This scale model allowed us to feel the space created by the plans which we had drawn previously. Furthermore, the fact that the building project obliged us to think about the construction made this exercise very enriching.
I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to spend a week participating in the construction of the product. I was involved in the arc welding of the metallic roof structure.
