Master 1 / Steel module

Presentation
The second project of the Architectural Atmosphere and Constructive Culture course was the “wood” module. The subject was to design a house with two bedrooms, a living space and a "greenhouse". The project was based on a project that we had previously worked on.
The class of fifty pupils was divided into five subgroups each had a specific part of the project: envelope, structure, roof, ground and greenhouse. For my part, I worked on the dividing wall between the residential section and the greenhouse.
We used a brick construction in order to reflect upon the “trombe wall” effect.
The construction phase was very enriching because the size of bricks differed from what was specified during the design phase. But this unforeseen challenge was finally beneficial for the project because they were the cause of numerous challenges.
The module was not finalized until the last day because excess materials were still being used for additional functions.
